This Game Exists

So I had compiled a list of Genesis games I found at a local used game store, and I was looking some of them up today.  One of the games was described as a “Kusoge,” with the word linking to a list of video games notable for negative reception.  Apparently kusoge is a portmanteau of “kuso” and “game,” with kuso being the Japanese word for “crap,” translating literally to “Shitty game.”  Needless to say, I won’t be buying it.

I’m not talking about that game, though.  The list’s page (though not on the list itself) links to a page about a game called Don’t Buy This: The Five Worst Games Ever for the ZX Spectrum.  I’ve never heard of the game or the system, but probably because they came out only in the UK.  The game is exactly what it says on the box.  Apparently, a publisher of ZX Spectrum games got quite a lot of crappy games, and thought these five were so horrendous they just had to show it to you.  Like a train wreck you pay admission to see.  I can only imagine from the short descriptions of the games that they give anything the Angry Video Game Nerd reviews a run for their money.

One time my friend sent me these pictures, with no explanation, and then called me, and I thought she was crying, but apparently she was laughing really hard. It was the scariest ten minutes of my life.
